Welcome to #AffirmationTuesday!
Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. During this time I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.
I am in a Mastermind group written by Jack Boland, a Unity Minister. This is a group of people that gather weekly and support each other with words of encouragement and more importantly, prayers.
During my mastermind sessions I color to get and keep me in my quiet place so that I am more receptive. My spiritual coach, Norma Hill, told me that I should use art when focusing on my spiritual side. It is a true balance for me. As I stated on my blog in Sunday's post (which was supposed to be Friday, but computers, the cloud, pictures...don't get me started), which was, I believe that we must give focused time to our spiritual journey as well as focused time to our arts and crafts journey in order to have a balance.
How #AffirmationTuesday was born...
I was getting ready for my mastermind meeting and I started flipping through my coloring book, looking for a page to color, and the book was so beautiful! It actually made me catch my breath, all I heard was "what?" "what happened?" So I told my mastermind partners what I was looking at...it was a collection of prayers and affirmations along with colored pages, and I told them...this book is beautiful!
A couple of days after the meeting one of my friends and prayer partners called and said you should do a coloring book with prayers and affirmations just like the one we talked about the other day. I immediately said NO WAY...I am not interested in taking on that task, but Divine Mind immediately went into action and gave me the idea of doing my prayer partners concept but in another way, so I said...I may be interested in just one page at a time...and #AffirmationTuesday was born!
#AffirmationTuesday comes from an amazing place full of love and faith, which reminds us that God is our Source in all things.
Today was intentional because it is the first Tuesday since our conversation and on top of that, today is national coloring book day. When I was deleting junk mail, I saw a flyer for National Coloring Book Day from Michaels Craft Stores and I knew immediately that all is in Divine Order and #AffirmationTuesday is what I am supposed to be doing.
So my beloveds, I pray this aids in your spiritual journey as it does mine.
