Welcome to Affirmation Tuesday! Inner Peace

I love Affirmation Tuesday.  I have found that writing my posts for Tuesdays is a JOY.  I love that I can provide a free coloring page and an affirmation to carry us through the week.  I LOVE doing this and am finding inner peace in my life.

I was also posting three other days on this blog to document my art journey.  Well, when I get busy with Old Goat Travel, LLC and life I don't have the time create and write....and we all know I love creating.  Lately, I have found that I am trying to do entirely too much!  Yes Mom I said it... LOL!  I have to manage my time a bit better so I am going to make a few changes on my blog so that I can continue to share my journey here and continue in my inner peace.

I am going to continue my Tuesday posts, but my other posts are going to be when I have the time to write.   I am working on my art journey and will stay true to that.  I will continue to create and document my art journey here but it will be more organic and not as much on a schedule.

Affirmation Tuesday is so much fun as I look for new artist and coloring pages.   I have a new digi-artist, the Chubby Mermaid and you can view her Easy store here.  She is allowing me to pay a nominal fee to provide the images here on my blog for you to download for free and use.  She also has amazing coloring books.  Check her out.

Here is your affirmation from the Daily Word

Inner Peace
I practice peace in this tranquil moment.
No matter where I am, or what situation I find myself in, peace is always available to me. Peace is a sensation free of conflict or turmoil. It is a knowing of calm, serenity, and tranquility.
I acknowledge that in my life there are situations that may leave me feeling unsettled. In times of change or challenge my unchecked thoughts can turn to worry or fear. My actions may become rushed and reflexive. Noticing this frenzied state, I make a conscious effort to calm my thoughts and practice peace in this moment.
Taking a few deep breaths, I hit the pause button. I whisper to myself: Peace, be still. I affirm that God is present right where I am, guiding me to the right and perfect outcome.

He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm.—Mark 4:39

As a reminder,
Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. During this time I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

Below is your free coloring page you can print and size it to your liking.

As Always…wishing you love, abundant blessings and inner peace.

Affirmation Tuesday where we affirm our good and color...what is better than that?

Welcome to Affirmation Tuesday,

I can't imagine anything better than affirming God's goodness and coloring.

When I started my spiritual journey I forgot how powerful daily affirmations are. Affirmations can really affect your entire day.  When my brother and I were children, my Mom use to make us say, "I feel healthy.  I feel happy.  I feel terrific."  We would start saying the statement quietly and then build the statement as we said it each time until we were shouting and laughing as we said it.  We normally said it three to four times to get to the actual joy it would make us feel inside.   My brother on the other hand did not like nor did he want join in on the fun, but when he did...he felt terrific too.  As an adult I realize that Mom had us saying an affirmation and I can tell you, even today, when I am feeling a bit blue I say that simple affirmation in just the same way and I end up laughing at the end of it, just as I did when I was a little girl.  Thanks Mom!

So I challenge you this week, start your day with my Mom's affirmation and let me know how it makes you feel.  Remember, you must say it over and over until that feeling inside changes into pure joy.

I feel healthy.  I feel happy.  I feel terrific.

Below is your free coloring page you can print and size to your liking.  This one is for you Mommy!

As Always…Wishing you peace, abundant blessings and goals reached

Make it Monday.... I can't wait to show what I made!!!!

I love Mondays so much.  It is the beginning of an amazing creative week.  I get to play with an entire new set of ideas for this brand new week and create in my art journal.  Mondays are wonderful!

One day I will get the nerve to show you my current art journal so that you can see my thought process and all things I do to get to one technique.  I make a complete FUN mess... I LOVE creating so much. My original art journal has my intimate thoughts written on the pages, because it is also my writing journal.  So I started another art journal to just use for art and art alone so that I can post here, well, my very first page is a bunch of crap (LOL) truly!  This one hideous page that I continue to add stuff to which is only making it worse instead of better is at a point where I really just want to ripe it out and start fresh, but I can't.  I am true to my art journey and keep the hideous with the glorious.  So I am going to pull myself away from trying to fix this mess and I am going to start on page two this week and maybe I will have something to show you.... I sure do hope so! :) Fingers, toes and eyes crossed.

On to the art portion of this show....

The first tag is the Distress Paint Lifting technique.  This technique is done with distress paint, stencil, and a baby wipe to lift the paint away.

The second tag for today, has a technique called Distress Stain Rub Resist.  You will need Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs, Distress Spray Stain that is blended with water and a heat tool. When beginning this, I thought, "I am not sure about this one"...well its one of my favs!

Hope your Monday is a creative one!

Thanks for stopping by,
