So... I am now a resident of Sarasota...I no longer have a studio at the moment,  I am creating on a 4ft table that I share with inks, washi tape, lamps and a bunch of other necessary items.  Thank goodness for Tim Holtz's media mat... that is my workspace and have found that is is enough.  LOL. At least that is what I am telling myself.  It is temporary and I am blessed to have crafting space, I know that, just a bit spoiled.  LOL

So, since I have been moving, my art therapy journey has been put on the back burner.  I have a monthly obligation for a card swap group that I am in and thank God for that.  If it wasn't for that I don't think I would be creating at all.  Well, that is until now.  I am back.  Spent the entire day doing maintenance on my Copics.  I am ready to begin coloring... now, what to color.  Should I do something in my journal?  Should I make my cards for next month's swap?  Should I do some Halloween cards?  I just don't know where to start.

I love Halloween so I did a tag for this month's card swap group to motivate me.

I did this a few years ago, but it's easy to do as it is just paper cutting, paper piercing, a little stamping, and draw some lips.  That' it and  I think its cute as a button.  I made an extra for my Mom as she truly loves halloween...it should make her smile.

Now what?!?!?!?!?  I am just not sure. I know that this week holds more doctors appointments, lunch with Mother Nature (best real estate agent in the world) she is our weekend weather reporter here in Sarasota FL, which I am really looking forward to.  I am also having lunch midweek with a wonderful group of women and adding some shopping as well.  Should be a good week.

My dress for my brother's wedding should be here by weeks end.  I still need to find shoes, just need the dress to get here.  I am so looking forward to this, he got lucky just like I did and I only wish them both every happiness.

So...back to being creative.  I need to get back into my routine. I need to create every day to keep my sanity.  So starting today,  I am back on my routine...wish me luck! (or whatever you use to keep you on track!) LOL

What do you do when you need to jumpstart your creativity?  I think I will ask this question on Instagram, maybe I'll get some good feedback.

Well, I am going to color something before I go to lunch.

Have a great day...CREATE something FUN!!!

I AM MOVING!!!  Please forgive the neglect. I have been derelict in my duties.  I have house brain and will have for upcoming months. Just know my brain is foggy....but coming back slowly but surely.

It's been a long time...

I haven't posted in a while, but i am on my Art Journey in full force.  Last year was tough health wise and life wise, and this year I am just trying to get my bearings.  I can't seem to catch up.  My floors are finally fixed...thanks, Jermaine!!!  They are amazing!!!

Well, what you don't see is on the other side of the room...

All of this must go somewhere?!?!?!  I just told someone that was organizing their space, no worries before you know it we will see a complete room...me and my big mouth!  I have at least been organizing all of my supplies, thanks to Jennifer McGuire.  I have found some solutions that will work for the long haul and isn't that what we all want, solutions?  These solutions allow us to be creative, organized and productive.   Which is my goal for 2018...productivity, that leads to playtime.

I am living with my planner this year.  I am actually documenting my accomplishments, I even have emojis to show how many good days I am having.  I think it's important to count all of your blessings.  I am even working in a gratitude journal this year...thanks, Norma Hill.  That is another lesson and another story, for another day, actually better suited for my spiritual journey blog www.affirmationtuesday.blogspot.com.

As for now... I have so much to catch up on.  I have actually gotten rid of almost all of the boxes.  I just have the table, counter, and chairs to contend with.  While writing this and looking at the pictures, I have actually accomplished more than I thought.  I plan on being in the Journey, oh...another new name from my baby brother "The Sanctuary" all day tomorrow and I would love to walk out of there with most of my stuff up, my table clear, my craft desk clear and a dent on my photo station and sewing station.  I am using January as my organizing and staging time for getting ready to be productive for 2018.

I have some orders to get out and a few other items that I owe family.  So the sooner I get my toys put away properly, I can play.  Which is what this productivity thing is all about...PLAYING!!!

I just want to make sure I am documenting all of my blessings.  I don't want to miss the miracles when they happen.  So, stay tuned and drop me a line to tell me how you are going to spend 2018.

Love, ME❤️

P.S... Jack and Jill are no help at all!!!  ❤️❤️❤️

Day of World Kindness

Good evening,

I spent the morning cleaning up and updating inventory... I then got to play with my new Cricut Maker.  Well, first...it is fast!  I love that.  Second, I am going to make a quilt, probably not this year, but I am definitely making a quilt.

The afternoon went by so fast, that I almost missed World Kindness Day.  Wow!!! How would that look, I am living Love and Kindness this year, and I miss World Kindness Day?  Well, here is the card that I put together for today.

I am wishing all of you Love and Kindness in your lives.  I am seeing joy bubbling up from the tip of your toes to the top of your head, and it bubbles over so much that all you have left is Love and Kindness to share.

Each one love one...let's make this a better world.  I promise to update sooner with some updated projects.  I found some new challenges to add.  So I must get back on schedule.

The good news... I am back...just like Lucious Lions from Empire! 😜

Until next time.

Is it Tuesday already?

The weekend just ended...or at least I thought it did.  Its already on the end side of the day on Tuesday!  Where does the time go?  It seems to go faster and faster these days.

Well, I finished the pillows/cushions for my Mom and delivered part on Thursday and the rest putting in the mail today.  I made one house from my Christmas Village, but have not decorated it yet.

I think they are going to be really cute.  My new train set came in today, I am going to put it together to make sure I like it.  This Christmas village has me very excited.  My BFF asked where I was on my Christmas cards and I looked at her like a deer caught in headlights!!!  I haven't even started yet.   I need to focus!!!  I think I will finish my studio, do my base of houses and decide on a design for my Christmas cards this week.  I have Wednesday and Thursday to get these three things done....pray for me!😜

Here are some of my recent coloring's to share:

#AIStamps Art Impressions with some copic coloring.
#AIStamps Art Impressions with copic coloring and white gel pen writing

#MOSDigitial - Mo's Digital with copic coloring.  I am so in love with her!

Until next time, hopefully when I have more finished!  (fingers crossed)

Trying to Create in Chaos...how do you do it?

Well... I am asking, how do you do it?

I am in chaos.... by chaos I mean...I am surrounded by the end of Irma disruption with the last two boxes to unpack and three bags of samples to put back in the viewing cabinet (that I know have been damaged with the back and forth), sizzix dies (for the Christmas village...attempting for the first time), cushions (sewing cushions for my Mom's bench seating (also first time) and attempting a little coloring therapy.

Coloring has always centered me and when I add meditation to the mix I can conquer the world!!!  I started Affirmation Tuesday as a way to share this amazing clarity with spirit that you get when going into mediation from a creative source.  It produces pure GRATITUDE, it really does.

I say all of this only to share the end product.  I have two different hair styles.  I posted my favorite on Instagram.  This is another cutie from Nay's World. https://www.encysted.com/shop/NaysWorld/; copic coloring, embossing pen and embossing powder.

So I am going to update you gradually over the next couple of posts of my 30 day coloring challenge pieces.  Buckle up and get ready for a bumpy ride!😜

30 Day Coloring Challenge and Affirmation Tuesday

Hello, my blog universe....

Today is the first day of Kathy Racoosin 30 day coloring challenge.  I absolutely love this time as it forces me to color every day.  I try to color every day, but sometimes life gets in the way.  This challenge will make me post on my blog on a regular basis, which since I am on the road to recovery, I need to get my rhythm back.  So here is my first-day submission

As for Affirmation Tuesday....it has moved to its new location www.AffirmationTuesday.blogspot.com.

Thank you for following me.

I am back....not 100% in my healing just yet, but I know that I am on the side of whole and complete health.  I never stop creating, it was my only form of comfort.  So, whenever I could I would continue   coloring, water coloring, DIY projects, of course, making cards and stamping.

I will begin affirmation Tuesdays again, but only when I know that I am having more good days than bad days and can commit to posting every Tuesday.

What I will begin sharing with you are my creations and projects that I am working on for this art journey of mine.

I saw this cute DIY project while combing through Instagram one day.  It was done by #popfizzpaper for #tombow.  I used #tombowextremetabs to hold my layers together.  I put them on and let them cure for 24 hours and now I can pick up from the bowl and the entire #orgtwirlstand (my name for this)  as I will be making different ones for different places in my home, it was so easy to make and you can do so many things with it.  I too went to the dollar store and then I shopped in my craft room and had all of it, but the bottom glitter platter.  Which makes this such a great project of repurposing and using old items in a whole new way.  Thanks so much #popfizzpaper for showing this.  I didn't have to paint because what I had match my room already.  The ones for the house will need to be painted and I can't wait to do those!  Let me know what you think about my project.

Happy January 17th!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. Doing this, I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

I LOVE this affirmation!!!! It is such a great reminder as we go through our own internal wars that there are words to remind us of our inner strength.  I received a note today from my baby brother reminding me how strong I was and that I should see HOPE in every fiber of my being.  Well My Inner Strength is greater than any outer appearances!  I must say I am standing strong and I have HOPE, JOY and LOVE written all over me!  Here’s to your inner strength!
Here is your affirmation for the week from the Daily Word:

My inner strength is greater than any outer appearances.

I am connected within to the spirit of God. Wherever I go, whatever I do, I am divinely uplifted.

I may look back on my life and find times when I felt insignificant or lacking confidence. Still, I take to heart the energy available to all things, even something as simple as water. Once harnessed and directed, water becomes the dynamic force in a steam turbine. Those same molecules, when influenced by cold, become ice with the power to crack concrete and topple trees.

When I discover and harness my power within, I have the potential to make a mighty difference in my life and in the world. I place my attention on Spirit. With faith, I can overcome any circumstance: My inner strength is greater than any outer appearances.

I will put my Spirit within you.—Ezekiel 36:27

Happy Tuesday!!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. Doing this, I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

The New Year is upon us… we are trying to set up our new routines or revamp old routines  that have been peppered by resolutions and new goals for 2017.  I am affirming patience and calmness in my life by slowing down the thought process and having patience wth myself and those around me.  Patience has been difficult for me, as I think at warp speed, talk at warp speed and work at warp speed.  I will be more patient with myself and affirm calmness everyday.  How about you?
Here is your affirmation for the week

God’s presence keeps me calm and patient at all times.

How do I react to delays that keep me from accomplishing my goals? Experience tells me that getting irritated or impatient will not change the circumstances. A slow line will not move quicker by frowning. Traffic does not clear because I show frustration. What I can do, however, is visualize right outcomes for myself and others.

If I am delayed, I use that time to center my thoughts and to give thanks for God’s presence within. I practice slow, easy breathing while affirming: I am peaceful. I am calm.

Being patient today is an investment in peace for tomorrow. I refrain from being reactionary and saying or doing something I may regret later. As I hold thoughts of peace for others, I benefit from being patient and calm.

As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.—Psalm 42:1

This Year's Intention

Happy Tuesday!!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. Doing this, I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

The holiday season is winding down and we are getting back to our routines.  I have learned over the years that I find comfort in my routine.  I am not a resolution type of girl, but I always clear what needs to eliminated from my life and I set my years intentions, like Health, huge for me this year!  I have set my year’s intentions with my MasterMind Group and am ready, and really  excited to see me and my life transform through affirmations and positive prayer.   The affirmation below will help with your goals and set intentions.  Also hold something that will change our world.  My Husband and I are making sure everything we say or do comes from a place of love and kindness.  I also hold world peace.

God be with you.

Here is your daily word, use this in your affirmative prayer and you can use this affirmation all year.

Intentions

When you walk, your step will not be hampered; and if you run, you will not stumble.—Proverbs 4:12

Divine nature allows us to fulfill our goals and intentions.

Typically the new year is a time to consider the goals we will attempt throughout the next 12 months. So we ask ourselves, What are my intentions? What do I hope to accomplish? Do I have time and energy to see these into fruition?

Whichever goals we decide upon, we can pursue them systematically. Any journey begins with a plan or a map, so we should consider the steps we need to take to move forward purposefully. If a roadblock should appear, we can regroup and refocus, then navigate around it or adjust our course as necessary.

The more we understand God’s presence in the goals-fulfillment process and how our divine nature allows us to be our best, the stronger our resolve and success rate will be.

Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday!!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. Doing this, I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

Christmas is just a few days away and I wanted to provide an affirmation that would provide a reminder for an expanded consciousness.  We are thankful for the gifts that we receive and need to remember that no matter what we receive during this holiday season that we have already been given the best gift...LOVE.  This is a gift that we share with each other and the world.

Here is your affirmation for the week

My spirit rejoices in the infinite goodness of God.

My five senses are part of my abundance from God. With these senses, I take in the gifts this season brings: the touch of a loved one’s hand in mine, the welcoming aroma of scented candles, the dazzling site of colorful lights, the delicious taste of a fresh baked cookie, and the harmonious sounds of a Christmas carol.

There is, however, a joy that takes me beyond what I perceive through my physical senses. With a deeper sense of Spirit, I am aware of the goodness of God that is evident as it moves in and through my life and all life continuously.

My spirit does rejoice in the infinite goodness of God. I give thanks for the blessings of the past and present and I am thankful for those yet to be received.

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.—John 4:24

Affirmation Tuesday....late post

Happy Tuesday!!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. Doing this, I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

It is the beginning of the holiday season and I just wanted to provide an affirmation that would provide some peace as we get ready for the hustle and bustle.  For some of us, it is also a stressful time... so here is an affirmation that I have added to my daily affirmations to remind me that God is my source.

Here is your affirmation for the week

I live in steadfast faith knowing that my needs will be met.

Sunday began the Advent season, a time when I am reminded of the unlimited capacity to experience the presence of God within. With faith, I hold the keys to the kingdom that open all doors to a full and joy-filled life.

Even though I have faith, I may need to call upon patience or strength as I wait for a door to open. I may need to apply wisdom and understanding while making an important decision. Perhaps I will be guided to demonstrate unconditional love or conscious generosity.

My answers come to me naturally and easily. Any assistance needed becomes available; any divine idea comes my way with clarity. As I move through the Advent season, I do so with excitement, with love, and with great faith.

Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.—1 Corinthians 16:13

Happy Affirmation Tuesday!!!!

Happy Tuesday!

This is a time for gratitude.  When we come to time of Thanksgiving it actually starts my holiday season.  I start working on my to do lists, getting my decorations out, shopping for my tree, etc...  Also, what happens is a sense of gratitude for having another holiday season with friends and family. We have so much to be grateful for, all of us, we are rich children of a loving God.

During this week of thanksgiving and as you color your page, write down on your coloring page all the things you are grateful for.   It's a nice reminder of the many blessings in our lives.

Here is your affirmation for the week

I AM GRATEFUL FOR EVERY BLESSING IN MY LIFE.

I LIVE in a constant spirit of gratitude to God for the many blessings He has showered upon me. There is so much to be thankful for! The few in-harmonies are nothing in comparison to the hundreds of blessings that come to me from every direction. Even when apparent adversity seems to take the upper hand I pause for a moment and express gratitude for whatever lessons this adversity contains. When I express such gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow strong, those things which seemed obstacles become steppingstones to greater freedom.

O heavenly Father, fill my heart with gratitude. Increase my capacity to be grateful to Thee. Help me to realize that as I am continually grateful for what I do have, however small or inconsequential it may seem, this gratitude keeps the channels of my being open to Thy infinite reservoirs of good.

Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah . . . Serve Jehovah with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. PSALMS 100:1, 2.

Affirmation Tuesday...actually posted on Tuesday! :)

Blessings on this beautiful Tuesday!

Today we vote as a nation.  We become one voice, and it doesn't matter what we look like, as today it's only our vote that counts.  So I know that we are all voting our own conscious whatever that may be.  Because in todays world there are so many different issues to pray for #blacklivesmatter, #gayrights #humankind #wematter #GlobalWarming #GodBlessAmerica, and the list can go and on.

For me...#GodBlessAmerica is what I am praying for today.  Today begins with a new leader and a new direction for not only Americans but the World as a whole...and as a whole...we need prayer.

So I am asking that as we color our image this week, we hold not only America, but the World in our thoughts and prayers as we ask for our highest good...whatever that may be.

Please know dear hearts I am asking for your highest good this week as well... Many blessings.

Here is your affirmation for the week

Highest Good

ALL THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR MY HIGHEST GOOD, AND I AM WORKING WITH THEM IN THE WISDOM AND POWER OF SPIRIT.

To hold to the idea that all things are working together for my highest good frees me from feelings of worry or anxiety. In the present circumstance, at the present moment, I may not be able to see just how good is to come out of some condition, but I can trust in the power of God at work. And God always works for good!

God works for good, and I have a part in the outworking of this good in my life. My part is to keep my thoughts positive and faith-filled, to express a spirit of love and harmony and cooperation, to do all in my power to make each day a day of productive and God-directed efforts. Thus, I work for good results, for good outcomes.

The idea that all things are working together for good can also help me to release feelings of undue concern about others. God always works for good! This is as true for others as it is for me.

We know that in everything God works for good. – Rom. 8:28.

Well....Affirmation Tuesday on Thursday!

Well....Affirmation Tuesday on Thursday!

This is not a hoax! :)  My baby, the most handsomest cairn terrier ever, Jack had surgery and my focus has been on him.  So I did not post on Tuesday, but Jack and Jill are back in the office with me today so I thought a gratitude post would be most appropriate.

I am currently in a 30 day coloring challenge, which is what started this in the beginning.  Check out #30DayColoringChallenge and let me know if you join, I will follow and comment on your IG page. (I can hear my Mom right now...what is IG...it's Instagram,  and you would know if you had an account :O...LOL.)  I love my Mom and how her brain works... I especially love that she is still in my head guiding me.  I have an AMAZING Mommy!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. Here is your affirmation for the week

Thank You, God!

I give thanks for my divine qualities and gifts.

Thank You, God, for this amazing life and everything in it! Thank You, God, for Your omnipresence, that I may experience Your glorious nature both within and all around me. Thank You, God, for Your omnipotence, that I may feel Your boundless strength and perseverance in every moment and situation of my life. Thank You, God, for Your omniscience, that I may abide in wisdom and understanding as to all matters, at all times.
Centered in You, I recognize that divine will and my will are one in Truth. Divine love is a perpetual wellspring of comfort, nourishment, and joy within my being. Eternal life is the very source of my radiant health, vibrancy, and well-being. I faithfully demonstrate my divine nature today and every day.

All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them.—John 17:10

One Power - Affirmation Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!!!

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. Doing this, I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

I missed you last week, but kept my focus on World Prayer which is the Daily Word for today.

As we live our lives, there is a saying that you always hear “sometimes life gets in the way.”  Isn’t it funny to think that sometimes life gets in its own way.  I think that is what we say when we let our humanness forget where our source is.

God is our source and when we put God first, everything works in Divine Order.   The affirmation this week is one of my new favorites and will be the first thing I say every morning this week after my puppies, Jack and Jill,  and I finish our gratitude moment.  It will also be my meditation affirmation and my coloring affirmation.  I want to ensure that this comes to me as easy as breathing when I am having one of my…life gets in the way moments.

Here is your affirmation for the week

One Power

GOD IS THE ONE PRESENCE AND POWER IN MY LIFE.

We may turn to others when making important decisions, trusting that their wisdom and experience will help guide us in making the right choices. We may also make a choice based on fear or indecision rather than sound judgment.

Whatever is before me today, this I know: God is the one presence and one power that I can trust absolutely. God is my light, my wisdom, my source of inspiration and guidance. Even in the darkest moments of my life, God is with me, holding my hand and leading me to my highest good.

I no longer give control to things or other people: God is the one presence and power in my life.

My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power.—1 Corinthians 2:4

Affirmation Tuesday

Welcome to Affirmation Tuesday!

After tearing through the Caribbean, leaving more than 1,000 dead in Haiti, Hurricane Matthew hammered the coast of the southeastern United States, leaving behind a trail of coastal destruction, wind damage and freshwater flooding that claimed an additional 26 lives here in America.

When tragedy strikes it is important to "Let go and let God" because Divine Order is always at work.  When we feel out of control, we "Let go and let God" because God is always in control.

Letting go allows us to free our blessings so they come to us, and it also allows God's work to be done.  As I said last week, we may not always know the why, but we do know that all things work to our good.

Let go and let God!  Free your blessings so that they find the way to you.  Your blessings will come in full and on time.  Remember not on our time, but on God's time.

Each Tuesday I will provide a free coloring page and an affirmation that you can use to focus on while you are coloring. I have found that coloring lowers my heart rate and puts me in a state of quiet. During this time I am more receptive to Spirit so I use this time to say my affirmations over and over until they become a part of my consciousness.

Here is your affirmation for the week

I let go and welcome God’s blessings.

When was the last time I received a wonderful surprise or an outcome far exceeded my expectations? How did this happen without my planning? It did so through the activity of God.

Sometimes I may need a reminder to set aside my personal will and struggle in order to let blessings in. When I release my need to be in charge, I expand my willingness to receive. As I let go and quiet my thoughts, my mind takes on a gentle receptivity. What a refreshing gift—just being in the Presence.

In this state of peace, I open to guidance, to answered prayers, to blessings beyond imagination. I let go and welcome God’s blessings.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.—Matthew 11:29-30
